An organic matcha from Uji for concentrated Koicha
RYUU focuses on a calm, dense matcha line: from Uji, certified organic according to DE-ÖKO-039 and intended for Koicha, where matcha is prepared pure and concentrated with little water.
In the cup, it presents itself full-bodied and creamy. Umami brings depth, the soft texture softens the profile’s hard edge, and sweet notes round it off.
The tea comes from the first spring harvest (Ichibancha). The early season gives it a fresh, green frame; the leaves were shaded for 20 to 30 days.
It is ground with Ishiusu, the granite stone mill. This classic stone grinding is well-suited for a reduced Koicha preparation.
