With our rewards program, we want to give you something back for your purchases at Matchashop. It’s simple, transparent, and designed to bring you one step closer to your next matcha moment.
If you have a customer account, you’ll automatically earn bonus points with each order. You can later convert these bonus points into a gift certificate and redeem them on your next purchase.
One bonus point is worth one cent—so 100 bonus points are worth 1.00 euro.
What Are Bonus Points?
Bonus points are a small amount of credit that you can earn at Matchashop. You earn them for certain activities, especially for your purchases in our store. The points you earn are credited to your customer account. Once you’ve earned enough bonus points, you can redeem them for a gift card and use it on a future order.
To earn and redeem bonus points, you need a customer account with Matchashop. Without a customer account, we cannot assign the points to a specific person.
100 bonus points for your customer account
When you create a customer account at Matchashop, you’ll receive a one-time bonus of 100 points. This is equivalent to 1.00 euro. The points will be credited to your customer account and can be redeemed later along with any other bonus points you’ve earned.
Here’s how to earn bonus points when you shop
For your purchases at Matchashop, you’ll earn bonus points based on the purchase value of your order. “Purchase value” refers to the value of the products you bought. Shipping costs are not included. Discounted products also count toward this total. What matters is the amount you actually pay for the products. So if you use a coupon or discount, the bonus points will be calculated based on the discounted product value.
Bonus points are not credited immediately when you place your order. They are not activated until the order has been successfully paid for or processed. For orders paid in advance, this means: As long as your order is still pending payment, no bonus points will be credited for the purchase. Once payment has been received and the order is being processed, the bonus points will be credited.
Our Bonus Scale
The higher the total value of your order, the more bonus points you’ll earn.
- For purchases totaling between 5.00 and 49.99 euros, you’ll receive 25 bonus points.
- For purchases totaling between 50.00 and 74.99 euros, you’ll receive 100 bonus points.
- For purchases totaling between 75.00 and 99.99 euros, you’ll receive 225 bonus points.
- For purchases totaling between 100.00 and 124.99 euros, you’ll receive 400 bonus points.
- For purchases totaling between 125.00 and 149.99 euros, you’ll receive 625 bonus points.
- For purchases totaling between 150.00 and 174.99 euros, you’ll receive 900 bonus points.
- For purchases totaling between 175.00 and 199.99 euros, you’ll receive 1,225 bonus points.
- For purchases totaling between 200.00 and 224.99 euros, you’ll receive 1,600 bonus points.
- For purchases totaling between 225.00 and 249.99 euros, you’ll receive 2,025 bonus points.
- For purchases of 250.00 euros or more, you’ll receive 2,500 bonus points.
What is a bonus point worth?
One bonus point is worth 0.01 euros.
This means:
- 100 bonus points are equal to 1.00 euro.
- 500 bonus points are worth 5.00 euros.
- 1,000 bonus points are worth 10.00 euros.
- 2,500 bonus points are equivalent to 25.00 euros.
So you can use your bonus points like a small balance once you convert them into a gift card.
Here’s how to redeem bonus points
If you’ve earned bonus points, you can view them here after logging into your customer account: https://matchashop.eu/bonus-points. On this bonus points page, you’ll find your current point balance and the option to redeem your bonus points for a gift certificate.
The conversion is simple:
100 bonus points are worth a 1.00 euro gift certificate.
You need at least 100 bonus points to create a coupon.
For example, if you’ve earned 500 bonus points, you can redeem them for a gift certificate worth 5.00 euros.
Once you’ve earned 1,250 bonus points, that’s equivalent to a gift certificate worth 12.50 euros.
You can then redeem the voucher you’ve created at checkout when placing a future order.
Important: Bonus points alone do not constitute a gift certificate. Only when you redeem them in your customer account do they become a redeemable gift certificate.
How long is a created gift certificate valid?
When you redeem bonus points for a gift card, that gift card is valid for 30 days. It’s best to wait to redeem your bonus points for a gift card until you’re actually ready to use it for an order. This way, you’ll avoid having a gift card expire unused.
How long are bonus points valid?
Your bonus points are valid for 180 days. If your bonus points are about to expire, we’ll notify you by email 14 days in advance. You can also check your bonus points account to see if any points are about to expire. This gives you plenty of time to redeem your points when you make a purchase.
What Happens in Case of Cancellation or Return
Bonus points are awarded only for orders that are actually completed successfully. If an order is canceled, the bonus points credited for it will be removed. This also applies if an order is fully refunded or reversed. So, if you received 400 bonus points for an order and that order is later canceled, those 400 bonus points will be deducted from your points account. The sign-up bonus remains unaffected, provided that only one order is canceled.

On the Bonus Points page, you’ll see, among other things:
- your available bonus points

There, you can also check to see if your bonus points are about to expire.
Do shipping costs count toward bonus points?
No. Bonus points are awarded only on the purchase price of the products. Shipping costs are not included in the eligible amount.
Do discounted items count?
Yes. Discounted items also count. What matters is the actual product price after discounts. So if you buy a discounted item or use a discount, the bonus points are calculated based on the actual price you paid for the item.
Can I earn bonus points when I redeem bonus points?
Yes. If you redeem a bonus points coupon when placing an order, you can still earn new bonus points. The new bonus points will then be calculated based on the remaining product value.
Example:
You are ordering products worth 100.00 euros.
You are redeeming a bonus points coupon worth 10.00 euros.
The new bonus points will then be calculated based on 90.00 euros.
This ensures that the system remains fair and transparent.
Can I cash out my bonus points?
No. Bonus points cannot be redeemed for cash. They can only be earned at Matchashop, converted into a gift card, and used for a future purchase.
Are bonus points transferable?
No. Bonus points are tied to your customer account. They cannot be transferred to other customer accounts.
Can I earn bonus points without a customer account?
No. You can only earn bonus points if you have a customer account. The customer account is necessary so that we can save your bonus points and clearly associate them with you. If you place an order as a guest—that is, without a customer account—no bonus points for that order can be saved in your customer account.
Does the bonus system also apply to B2B customers?
No. The bonus program is available to individual consumers. B2B customers and those eligible for special commercial rates are excluded from the bonus program.
