An organic matcha from Kagoshima for lattes, usucha, and cooking
Harvest Sun is a matcha for everyday use when you seek a clear green profile: present enough for matcha lattes, direct enough for usucha, and well-suited for recipes, baked goods, or mixed drinks.
Sensory-wise, it presents astringency, with umami and a soft side. The astringent note gives contour, umami brings depth, and the soft texture keeps the profile accessible – pure with water or in a softer drink with milk or plant-based milk.
The matcha comes from Kagoshima, an important tea region in southern Japan, and is certified organic according to DE-ÖKO-003. This blend uses Saemidori and Asanoka; Saemidori brings a softer, greener direction, while Asanoka complements another green cultivar line.
The leaves are shaded for 20 to 30 days. This involves Tana-kaen, a modern frame shading, and Jikase-kaen, the direct shading on the plant. Grinding is done with Ishiusu, the granite stone mill.
