An organic matcha from Kagoshima for Usucha and Koicha

Matcha Horizon, organic brings a calm, green line to your bowl: mild in profile, soft in aftertaste, and with a clear umami side. It comes from Kagoshima, an important tea region in southern Japan, and is based on the Saemidori cultivar.

For Usucha, it presents itself pure and direct when you whisk matcha lightly with water. For Koicha, the powder takes center stage: more concentrated, denser in matcha content, and with a creamy mouthfeel.

The leaves grow under Jikase-kaen, meaning direct shading on the plant, for 20 to 30 days. The medium steaming level Chumushi strikes a balance between clear structure and more body, without making the tea feel heavy. It is ground with Ishiusu, the granite stone mill; certified organic according to DE-ÖKO-006 and packaged in a 30g tin.
