Kabuse No. 1 is a Japanese green tea for those who enjoy a prominent cup without the tea needing to be loud. It comes from Kagoshima in southern Japan and brings the early season directly into your teapot.

Sensory-wise, it presents subtle umami depth, floral nuances, and a gentle texture. The spring harvest sets a fresh, green frame; Fukamushi, the long steaming process, gives the tea more presence in the cup.

This Kabusecha is made from leaves of the first spring harvest Ichibancha. They are shaded directly on the plant for 7 to 14 days: Jikase-kaen, an immediate shading method for Japanese tea.
