Bancha Yanagicha is a calm, direct Japanese tea from Miyazaki. It brings southern Japanese origins to the cup and presents itself more straightforwardly than delicate early harvests.

Sensory-wise, it is direct and present, with floral notes reminiscent of Oolong. For preparation, the water can be slightly warmer; this allows the aromatic side of the leaf tea to shine.

This tea comes from the Sanbancha intermediate harvest, a later harvest period between summer and autumn. This harvest suits Bancha with a more robust, less delicate profile and an unexcited place in everyday life.
